About Treatment

The harmonious size and shape of the hip is every woman's dream. Lack of volume, unsatisfactory contours of the gluteal muscles, sagging tissues - all this becomes the cause of complexes.

To look good in tight clothes and swimsuit, you need a firm and toned hip. Women do not always manage to achieve the desired result with the help of sports. In this case, the most effective solution to the problem is gluteoplasty - an operation to increase the buttocks. Plastic surgery in this area helps to achieve a lasting aesthetic result and has a positive effect on self-esteem and self-awareness.

Gluteoplasty is an artificial change in the size of the buttocks, giving them a beautiful shape, restoring their symmetry. It is carried out under general anesthesia, followed by patient's stay in a hospital. Sometimes it is possible to use an epidural (an injection into the spinal cord). Usually, the operation is scheduled for the first half of the day, and the woman remains in the ward under the supervision of a doctor and a nurse until the next morning.

Methods for augmentation of hip and buttocks

Using implants

Buttock augmentation with implants is the most popular correction method. Implants are:
round: to give the buttocks a noticeable bulge;
anatomical (teardrop): for maximum natural correction of this area;
oval: similar to teardrop-shaped, this type of implant follows the contours of the body and provides an organic change in shape.

The sizes of implants are determined individually. Usually these are endoprostheses with a volume of 140-180 milliliters. Do not trust doctors who say that the size of the implant does not matter and that it is possible to increase the butt even with very large implants. This is not true. An overly large implant will lead to stretch marks on the skin, deformity of the buttocks and impairment of aesthetics. In addition, it will begin to descend.

Implants are made of silicone. Its main advantage is the ability to adapt to the anatomical features of patient's body.

The operation is not performed if the volume of muscle tissue is insufficient. If nothing "holds" the implants, they will shift and drop.

Endoprosthetics can be combined with lipofilling, which will be discussed below.

Lipofilling

The lipofilling method is very popular among patients with fatty deposits in the abdomen, sides, thighs, arms. Adipose tissue is taken from problem areas, followed by cleansing and introducing it into the buttocks. Lipomodelling can be used to correct a local lack of volume (for example, dimples in the buttocks) or significantly change the shape of the buttocks.

The advantage of the procedure is the ability to reduce the volume of the problem area and increase the buttocks with the help of the collected fat - the effect is “two in one”. The advantage is the natural appearance of the butt after surgery, as well as the durability of the result. The implanted fat is absorbed by at least 70% and remains with you forever. It is only important to exclude drastic weight loss. Lipomodelling can also be performed even if you have implants installed.

Of the minuses, the operation is not suitable for thin women who have nowhere to take their fat cells from. Also, it is not always possible to achieve the desired result in one operation. As a rule, 2-3 lipofilling procedures are needed.

Muscle tightening

This is a very voluminous intervention that requires long-term rehabilitation. Usually the procedure is indicated for elderly patients with muscular atrophy. It is also recommended for young women with insufficient muscle mass for whom endoprosthetics and lipofilling are not indicated. The advantage of the operation is a significant change in the shape of the buttocks. The disadvantage is long recovery time.

Other methods

It is possible to increase the gluteal muscles by injecting fillers based on hyaluronic acid. The disadvantage of this method is the high cost and fragility of the result - a maximum of 5 years. The procedure also requires general anesthesia.

The injection of silicone gels is a dangerous and unpredictable method of buttock augmentation. No modern clinic performs this procedure. The fact is that the gel migrates in the tissues, which leads to deformation of the gluteal region, the appearance of unaesthetic tubercles, pits. Also, silicone can cause inflammation, severe pain and even tissue necrosis.

The day of the operation: You need to come to clinic on an empty stomach. This is followed by a conversation with the surgeon and anesthesiologist. The operating doctor applies preoperative markings, patient is transferred from the ward to the operating room. The operation itself 1.5-2 hours. During the intervention, doctor makes an incision in the intergluteal fold. Next, special pockets are created in which the implants are installed. They are usually placed between the gluteus maximus and gluteus medius (the upper third of the butt). It is possible to install an implant in the area of the gluteus maximus muscle. Incisions can also be made in the sub-gluteal folds, but this can lead to the placement of the implants too low. At the end of the procedure, the doctor installs drains for the subsequent removal of excess fluid. Then internal and external seams are applied, they are sealed, patient is taken out of anesthesia and transferred to the ward. You stay at clinic until the next morning.

Preparation for Surgery

exclude taking blood-thinning drugs;
exclude alcohol and smoking at least 7 days before surgery;
start taking medications prescribed by surgeon;
eliminate stressful situations, adhere to a normal sleep pattern.

Rehabilitation Period

After surgery, the buttock area will hurt. As prescribed by a doctor, you need to take pain relievers, as well as antibiotics. Do not drink alcohol while taking antibiotics. The pain syndrome dulls after 2-3 days.
In the early days, it is advisable to stay in bed. Moreover, within 7 days after the operation, you cannot lie on your back and sit on your butt. Only lying on the stomach is allowed. This is an important condition for a comfortable recovery and a predictable result. During this period, there may be decrease in the sensitivity of the tissues in the buttocks. This is normal.
You shouldn't take a shower for the first three days.
For a month you wear compression garments to fix the implants.
Physical activity is prohibited for at least 1 month. You need to return to sports gradually. The first workout should be very easy.
During the recovery period, you cannot go to pool, bathhouse, solarium. You can not sunbathe and swim in open water.
If the seam is festering, you need to see a doctor immediately.

During the rehabilitation period, there may be swelling, bruising, hematomas - this is a normal reaction to surgery.

The first results can be assessed 1-2 months after the operation, the final shape of the buttocks will take 1 year after the intervention

Possible complications

If the operation is performed by an experienced physician in a modern operating room, if patient follows all the surgeon's recommendations, then no complications will arise. In case of violation of the protocol of the operation, the use of low-quality implants and violation of doctor's prescriptions, complications such as:

displacement of the implant;
development of the inflammatory process;
divergence of seams;
suppuration;
deformation of the buttocks;
rupture of the implant;
the formation of keloid scars at the incision sites;
the appearance of excess connective tissue.

The result of the operation depends equally on doctor and patient. A responsible approach to choosing a clinic and to your health is a guarantee of a lasting aesthetic result.
